This initiative is by the Sustainable Microgrids Partnership led by Prof. Giri Venkataramanan and team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The team works on a human-centric approach to understanding the energy needs of individuals, families, and organizations that are fatally affected due to lack of electricity.
The team aims to conduct a comprehensive, in-depth, and context driven investigation of potential risks across various critical infrastructure settings (home health care, communication etc.), which, in turn, can lead to the creation of immediate, effective, and sustainable energy intervention.
